SUV rivalling Audi Q5 and BMW X3, but with emphasis on comfort, and roomier than contemporary rivals. Second generation from 2017.

Volvo XC60 (Y413/Y20). 2008 to date (prod. 73,711 to 2012). 5-door SUV. F/A, 1984, 2401 cm³ diesel (I5 DOHC), 1999, 2953, 3192 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Sportier, smaller SUV from Volvo, challenging Audi Q5 and BMW X3. More spacious in terms of shoulder room, but very wide as a result: a mere 7 mm narrower than large XC90, so hardly compact. As with most Volvos of this era, comfortable, with power coming later in the torque band; more willing to go than comparable V50. Very well built, very comfortable SUV at a time when such vehicles began falling out of favour. Related to contemporary Ford Kuga Mk I and Land Rover Freelander 2.
