F/F, F/A, 1560, 1997 cm³ diesel, 1595, 1999 cm³ petrol (I4 DOHC), 1984, 2401, 2500 cm³ diesel, 2521 cm³ petrol (I5 DOHC), 2953, 3192 cm³ (I6 DOHC). All-new V70, still with a squarish rear end as Volvo distinguishes itself from the many “lifestyle” estates. More safety features, with radar-driven frontal collision avoidance. Not sporty but very spacious. Third-generation model is more luxurious but roughly the same size as predecessor; sharing platform with S80. Four-wheel-drive XC70 (Y381) continued.
