1998 Volvo S70.jpg

Volvo S70 (P80LS). 1996–2000 (prod. 242,916). 4-door saloon. F/F, F/A, 1984, 2435 cm³ petrol, 2460 cm³ diesel (5 cyl. OHC), 1984, 1994, 2319, 2435 cm³ (5 cyl. DOHC). Renamed 850, with smoother front end and less upright rear window. Similar formula to before, and same changes as V70 estate: more power and torque for turbocharged engines; interior revisions; safety upgrades. Balanced but light steering and good handling through the range.

Manufacturing location: Torslanda, Sweden; Gent, Belgium

Marque: Volvo | Predecessor: Volvo 850 | Successor: Volvo S60 (P2)

q.v. Volvo V70 (1996–2000)
