Volvo C70 (P80N). 1996–2005 (prod. 72,039). 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/F, 1994, 2319, 2435 cm³ (I5 DOHC). Volvo 850-based coupé but sleeker looks, with a range of turbocharged five-cylinder engines and a normally aspirated 2·4. Tom Walkinshaw Racing had a hand in the development. Designed under Peter Horbury. Débuted in the feature film The Saint, but sales were sluggish. Coupé production to 2002, while convertible continued. A competent effort, but not the most rewarding drive.
