Volvo 1800S. 1963–9 (prod. 24,000 approx.). 2-door coupé. F/R, 1780, 1985 cm³ (I4 OHV). Successor to P1800, as Volvo shifted its production to Lundby, Sweden (S standing for Sverige). Power increase with new model; and again in 1966. Better quality than P1800, with annual improvements culminating in two-litre engine from August 1968. Again adopted for TV series The Saint, giving the car a very high profile.
