Volvo 1800ES. 1971–3 (prod. 8,077). 3-door estate. F/R, 1985 cm³ (I4 OHV). Sports’ estate version of 1800E, in the vein of the Reliant Scimitar GTE. Fairly modern-looking all-glass tailgate mated to dated 1960s’ styling of regular coupé, but kept the 1800 line going for a couple more years. Outlasted the 1800E coupé. Engine downgraded slightly to 92 kW, but still well performing.
