As a regular top-ten-selling saloon in China, in a hotly contested segment, the longer wheelbase (2,731 mm) also meant a key competitive advantage over Honda Civic (2015–21), Toyota Corolla (E210), Nissan Sylphy (L21B) and SAIC’s Volkswagen Lavida Plus. Big boot, panoramic sunroof, ambient interior lighting, and leather seats; DSG gearbox proved smooth, with decent fuel economy. All-independent suspension resulted in good handling.
