Volkswagen Parati (AB9). 1995–9 (prod. n/a). 3- and 5-door wagon. F/F, 1595, 1781, 1984 cm³ (I4 OHC), 999, 1984 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Parati followed the Gol into a second generation a year later, with similar engines, including the addition of a two-litre GTI model. More rounded forms, longer wheelbase, and more interior room. A one-litre DOHC model was added in 1997, making Parati the first one-litre wagon in Brazil since the DKW Vemaguet, which had been cancelled in 1967. Five-door wagon from late 1997, although Volkswagen would lose leadership of the small wagon segment to Fiat during this era.
