MQB-platform seventh-generation Jetta has very good fuel economy and refinement, though steering could be more responsive, and body roll noticeable compared with the class leaders. Multi-link rear suspension is gone, replaced by a torsion beam, possibly contributing to the poorer dynamics. Six-light body, and more rear legroom, helped by longer wheelbase, though overall length was only up slightly. Related to Volkswagen Lavida Plus and Volkswagen Bora (2018–).
