Volkswagen ID.3. 2019 to date (prod. 57,000 sold in 2020). 5-door saloon. R/R, 45, 58, 77 kWh electric. Seen as Volkswagen next major step forward in saloons after the Typ 1 and Golf, ID.3 quickly became a strong seller in the electric-car market in its first few months. First in a EV product offensive under the ID sub-brand. Some software glitches delayed launch till September 2020. MEB platform, allowing for interior room exceeding the C-segment norm. Good range from batteries, and useful performance, though dull to drive and interior lacked the perceived quality of the Golf’s.

Manufacturing locations: Zwickau, Sachsen, Germany; Dresden, Sachsen, Germany

Marque: Volkswagen | Predecessor: Volkswagen Golf VII
