Volkswagen Eos. 2006–15 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé–cabriolet. F/F, 1984 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1598, 1984 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 3189 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Named after Greek goddess, Eos took the place of the Golf Cabriolet but on a Passat platform with same rear suspension, albeit with a Golf wheelbase and front suspension. Hardtop cabrio signalled upmarket positioning. Four seats, rather than two. Good build quality but dull styling considering sporting aspirations.
