More masculine design for the first Volkswagen to wear the Beetle moniker officially, the work of Walter de’Silva, Klaus Bischoff and Marc Lichte. Launched April 2011 globally, during Shanghai show. Longer, wider and lower than predecessor. Dynamically similar to and slightly sportier than Golf, with which it shares a platform, with good ride.
