Nissan aimed to increase its sales dramatically in China through the introduction of a brand specifically for the market. Its first car, based on the Nissan Tiida Latio, occupied the mid-sized sector, and was developed by Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company. Shown at Guangzhou Motor Show in late 2011 for 2012 launch. Similar to Tiida in most respects, sharing the Renault Clio 3 platform.
