Vauxhall Victor/Vauxhall VX4/90 (FB). 1961–4 (prod. 328,640). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/R, 1508, 1594 cm³ (I4 OHV). British design with less GM US influence, with cleaner styling than predecessor. Four-speed all-synchromesh transmission option. Higher specification and power overall, with larger engine from 1963. Introduction of sporting VX4/90 saloon (no Victor tag) with twin carburettors and high-compression engine developing 71 bhp in this generation; with engine size increase for lesser Victors, VX4/90 followed suit, with output up to 74 bhp, and wood-panelled dashboard added.
