Vauxhall Viceroy
From AutocadeVauxhall-badged version of the Opel Commodore C, launched after Carlton and Royale. As with the Commodore, Viceroy effectively mixed the nose of the larger model with the tail end of the smaller, though a cross-hair grille, bumpers and detailing distinguished it from Royale. Mechanically identical to Commodore, which meant a 2·5-litre six in the engine bay. Short-lived as Carlton facelifted in 1982 and effectively took over the Viceroy’s market. Marque: Vauxhall | Successor: Opel Rekord E2 (as Vauxhall Carlton)
