To all intents and purposes, a rebodied Lotus Elise, made at Hethel, but with GM engines instead of Rover ones. GM had helped fund the Series II Elise, and got its own version, for sale as Vauxhall VX220 in the home market and Opel Speedster on the Continent. Fibreglass construction as with Elise, but with more creature comforts, though still very sporting and quick.
Marque: Vauxhall | Successor: Saturn Sky
