Triumph 1500 TC.jpg

Triumph 1500 TC. 1973–6 (prod. 25,549). 4-door saloon. F/R, 1493 cm³ (I4 OHV). Triumph makes life easier for itself by putting the Dolomite’s RWD running-gear beneath the 1500, and using the twin-carb 1·5. Despite the TC engine, not as sporting as Dolomite, which, at this point, still had a 1·9-litre OHC engine. Deleted as BL rationalized the compact line under the Dolomite name.

Manufacturing location: Canley, Coventry, England

Marque: Triumph | Model: Triumph 1500 | Predecessor: Triumph 1500 (1970–3) | Successor: Triumph Dolomite (1972–80)
