1976 Trident Clipper V8.jpg

Trident Clipper. 1967–76 (prod. 39 approx.). 3-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/R, 4727, 4942, 5562 cm³ (V8 OHV). Originally designed by Trevor Fiore as a future TVR, the collapse of that company meant it was never produced there; William J. Last bought the design, mated it to an Austin–Healey 3000 chassis, and brought in Ford V8s. Killed off in 1974 with the fuel crisis, though briefly revived in 1976 with two more cars featuring large bumpers to meet US safety legislation.

Manufacturing location: Ipswich, Suffolk, England

Marque: Trident
