Entry-level Toyota model before Aygo came along, originally designed at its European studio. Yaris replaced the Starlet in numerous markets, and was the export name for the Toyota Vitz. However, in 2013, a separate and slightly larger Yaris line began in Asia, based around the Toyota Vios.
