2005 Toyota Yaris.jpg

Toyota Vitz/Toyota Yaris (KSP90/SCP90/NCP90). 2005 to date (prod. 3,500,000 approx. to end of 2010, incl. 1998–2005 model). 3- and 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 996, 1296, 1496, 1798 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC), 1364 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. OHC). New, more rigid Vitz appeared chunkier than predecessor; excellent packaging given its short overall length. Sold in most markets as Yaris. Generally acceptable apart from poor-riding base one-litre model. Four-door sedan on same platform called Belta.
