Toyota Premio (NZT240/ZZT240/AZT240). 2001–7 (prod. 205,860 approx. sold). 4-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1496, 1794, 1986 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC). Successor to the Corona line—its predecessor was called Corona Premio. Strictly to class 5 dimensions, which meant a 1,700 mm width, rivalling the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy (G10) in Japan. Based on Toyota Vista (V50) platform. Differentiated from sister car, Allion, by being less sporting, and with fewer sports’ options. Mid-term changes in 2004, with equipment upgrades. Sixtieth anniversary model, commemorating Toyopet chain, in 2006.
