F/A, 2693 cm³ petrol, 2982 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 2986 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 3955 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 4608 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Fussier-looking Prado, this time without a three-door model. More aerodynamic, with improved fuel efficiency. More safety equipment. Body-on-frame construction as before. Minor changes in 2010. Sold as Lexus GX as before, but with smaller GX400 complementing GX460. Ride not great but one of the more “bulletproof” off-roaders available. Diesel somewhat underpowered for the heavy vehicle.
