Toyota’s top off-roader, on a strengthened new ladder frame chassis. Many electronic aids, but a heavy vehicle (2½ tonnes), and less capable than some of its illustrious predecessors off-road. Body roll due to the height. Sixtieth anniversary model in 2010. Multi-terrain monitor from December 2011 (on sale January 2012), turn assist (helping with tight corners), and minor facelift. Further minor changes 2013. Twinned with Lexus LX (J200), essentially the same vehicle with a different grille and more luxury.
