Toyota Kijang (F60/F70). 1997–2004 (prod. 452,017). 5-door wagon, 5-door LWB wagon, 5-door high-roof LWB wagon. F/R, F/A, 1781 cm³ (I4 OHV), 1998, 2436 cm³ petrol, 2446, 2986 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Far more car-like for fourth-generation Kijang, informally the Kijang Kapsul (capsule). Still a choice of short- and long-wheelbase models. Rangga denoted a more off-road look, while Krista was an upscale Kijang. Independent front suspension; drum brakes at rear. Economic crisis affected production numbers in the late 1990s. Facelift in 2000, with OHC 2·0 introduced. Final facelift in 2002 with new grille. Higher local content, with CKD exports. Some export markets used the Zace nameplate, complementing previous-generation Kijang. Also known as Revo, Unser and Condor.
