Toyota Cressida (X60). 1980–4 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 4-door hardtop sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 1972 cm³ petrol, 2188, 2446 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1968 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 1988, 2563, 2759 cm³ (I6 OHC). Export-market sister car to Corona Mark II and Chaser, typically with a less fussy, slanted grille, though with more chrome from 1983. Different front end from Mark II that was exported to US and Canada under this name, though mechanically identical. Known for refinement and comfort, though styling not as appealing as European cars’ in many export markets.
