1992 Toyota Caldina Van.jpg

Toyota Caldina (ET196V/AT190G/ST190G/CT190V/CT190G). 1992–2002 (prod. n/a). 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 1497, 1838, 1998 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 1974 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Essentially the Corona wagon, with a stripped-down commercial van offering. Well equipped wagon offered after Toyota saw the success Subaru had with its Legacy. Van with smallest engine (1·5) and diesel; passenger car versions had more powerful units. Four-wheel drive offered with 2·0 only. Changes in 1996, featuring large sunroof. Replaced September 1997 with second-generation model, though van continued till 2002. Much like Corona, on which it was based—dependable, not too exciting, but did everything asked of it.

Manufacturing location: Japan

Marque: Toyota | Model: Toyota Caldina | Predecessors: Toyota Corona (T170), Toyota Crown (S130) | Successor: Toyota Caldina (T210)

q.v. Toyota Corona (T190)
