Toyota Auris (E180). 2012 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 1329, 1496, 1598, 1798 cm³ petrol, 1364 cm³ diesel, 1798 cm³ petrol–electric hybrid (I4 DOHC). Much the same as before, on carryover platform, but 30 mm longer to help with back seat room and boot space. Hybrid’s battery pack removed from boot. Lower ride height (and lower body), and improved steering and suspension. Styling built on the angular theme of Toyota Vitz (P130). Cd of 0,28 on base model. Japanese 1·5 aimed to be more fuel-efficient, with higher compression and stop–start. Panoramic roof option. Wagon added to range in 2012, a first for Auris. Exported to Australia and New Zealand as Toyota Corolla; exported to US as Scion IM, later renamed Toyota Corolla IM when the Scion marque was retired.
