Upmarket Camry with same wheelbase and central section, but more formal front and rear ends. Sold as Camry in some markets (e.g. China). Replaced first-generation Avalon in Australia, where it challenges Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore. Styled by Paul Beranger, formerly of Ford Australia. Usual Toyota hallmarks: quiet, refined. Top model has supercharged V6. Wider grille and some upgrades from September 2009.
