Class 5 sedan, with much the same external size as its predecessor, but an increase in interior room. Targeted a younger buyer than its Premio stablemate, with a sportier positioning, though Toyota also offered fuel-saving models, with various changes to engines and the use of smaller tyres. Plenty of options, including a leather interior package. First major changes 2010, updating Allion to latest Toyota corporate look up front. S package deleted in 2012, as Toyota announced a more economical version of the 1·5. Further facelift in 2016.
