Dull but worthy sedan, fitting in to class 5 dimensions (1,700 mm width), and the successor to the long-running Carina line. Sportier, with lower suspension, than its sister car, the Premio, and very popular at launch in its home market. Extensive luxury options. Mid-term changes in 2004, with cleaner emissions. Sixtieth anniversary edition in 2006, commemorating the dealer chain’s anniversary, rather than Toyota’s.
