Toyopet Corona (PT20/RT20L/RT26LG/RT30L). 1960–4 (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan, 3-door wagon, 2-door pick-up. F/R, 997, 1453, 1897 cm³ (4 cyl. OHV). Exported as Toyota Corona, Toyota Tiara and Toyota 1900, second-generation Corona rivalled Nissan’s redesigned Bluebird, which had, among other factors, put Toyota into the number-two spot. Styling aped Opel Rekord P2. Larger 1·5 from 1961, to fight the 1·2 installed in Bluebird; 1·9 from 1963, as part of an export assault on the US.
