Tofaş

Fiat licensee and affiliate (37·8 per cent Fiat ownership, 37·8 per cent Koç) HQed in İstanbul with a plant in Bursa, Turkey. Founded 1968, its first model was the Murat 124, later replaced by the 131 and models developed from that. Numerous modern Fiat models have also been built at Tofaş for export to other European countries, while Tofaş itself licensed its Şahin model for manufacture in Ethiopia.
