1982 Talbot Tagora SX.jpg

Talbot Tagora (C9). 1980–3 (prod. 19,389). 4-door saloon. F/R, 2165 cm³ (I4 OHC), 2304 cm³ diesel (I4 OHV), 2664 cm³ (V6 OHC). Large Talbot sedan, originally a Chrysler Europe design to replace the 180 and 2-litre models. Adapted to use Peugeot 505 and 604 parts after Peugeot takeover. A flop compared with Citroën CX and Peugeot 604, probably due to Peugeot’s own lack of desire to market it: the vehicle was faster and cheaper than the 604, and competed with its existing models.

Manufacturing location: Poissy, France

Marque: Talbot | Predecessor: Talbot 1609, 1610, 180, 2 Litres, Diesel
