Export name for the Suzuki Cultus, and a nameplate used for Suzuki’s version of the second-generation Geo Metro, before the company began using it on a boxy hatchback in the home market in 2000. A 2004 redesign, through Suzuki’s European studio, set the template for a new generation of Swifts, sold globally with the same model name, including in India, where it had a Maruti Suzuki marque. Two Daewoos were sold as the Suzuki Swift Plus (or Swift+) in North America.

Marque: Suzuki | Successors: Suzuki Aerio, Chevrolet Aveo

q.v. Holden Barina, Pontiac Firefly
