2006 Suzuki SX4 2·0S.jpg

Suzuki SX4/Fiat Sedici/Maruti Suzuki SX4 (Tipo 196). 2005–16 (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1248, 1560, 1956 cm³ diesel, 1490, 1586, 1796, 1995 cm³ petrol, 1586 cm³ CNG (I4 DOHC), 1910 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Joint effort between Suzuki and Fiat, based on a stretched Suzuki Swift (ZC1) platform. Extra window forward of the front doors. Styled by ItalDesign. Hungarian production commenced December 2005. Japanese sales from 2006. Meant to be a crossover, so it was odd when Suzuki introduced a booted version in 2007, replacing the Aerio. In the US, the cheapest four-wheel-drive car on sale at launch. Heavy for its size, with fuel consumption affected. Japanese production to 2014.

Manufacturing locations: Esztergom, Hungary; Kosai, Shizuoka, Japan; Sagara, Shizuoka, Japan; Manesar, Haryana, India; Chongqing, China

Marque: Suzuki | Model: Suzuki SX4 | Predecessor: Suzuki Aerio | Successors: Suzuki SX4 S-Cross, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
