An off-roader with a separate chassis, but a smoother body, arguably kicking off the modern SUV trend, finding favour with urban buyers. Each generation was still being made in the 2010s, although earlier ones seemed increasingly unrefined against more modern competition. The first two generations were sold by Mazda under an OEM deal, until the company developed its own SUV.

Marque: Suzuki | Successors: Mazda Tribute, Opel Antara, Chevrolet Equinox
