Suzuki Aerio.jpg

Suzuki Aerio/Suzuki Liana (CH7160/CH7161). 2001 to date (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1328 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1372, 1490, 1586, 1796, 1994, 2299 cm³ petrol, 1398 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Almost invisible small sedan range, not a strong contender among more competent competition. Largest two engines for US market, where it also failed to make an impact. Roomy on the inside, but plenty of body roll. Hatchback replaced in 2006 by SX4, leaving only the sedan in production in Japan. Japanese production to 2007, though Aerio continued to be made in Pakistan as the Liana, which was often its export name. Chinese model, made by Changhe, initially with 1·6, from 2005, hatchback from 2006; 1·4 introduced in 2010, the 1·6 was deleted in 2011. Spawned long-nose Suzuki Liana A6 in 2014.
