Larger, taller and safer version of Legacy, with same body styles as predecessor: sedan, wagon, and raised wagon, called Legacy Outback in Japan and Outback in most other countries, including US where these models came from Subaru’s Indiana plant. EyeSight collision avoidance software, with upgrade in 2010. Heavier than predecessor by c. 100 kg. No frameless windows, ending a long-standing Subaru tradition. Large array of models, including sporting ones from Subaru Tecnica International (STI).
