Standard Gazel. 1971–83 (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/R, 948 cm³ (I4 OHV). Development of Triumph Herald, formerly built in India by Standard. New front and rear end designed by Nasir Hussein, losing Michelotti’s tailfins. Triumph Toledo rear axle. Mk II from 1974, with conventional bonnet. Most production finished in the late 1970s, though a tiny handful were made in the 1980s.
