Renamed version of Dong-A Korando, built under licence from AMC. In 1996, Ssangyong replaced the original Jeep-based model with a modernized SUV of its own design, though it still had Jeep-like proportions. With the company experiencing difficulties in the mid-2000s, the Korando eventually disappeared, but the name was revived in 2010 for a new compact SUV. In the meantime, Ssangyong also offered an Isuzu Rodeo Bighorn-based SUV called the Korando family, from 1988 to 1997. A pick-up truck, the Sports, appeared in 2011, transferred from the Actyon range. A minivan called Korando Turismo appeared in 2013.
