Smart Fortwo (C451/A451). 2007–14 (prod. n/a). 3-door saloon, 2-door convertible. R/R, 799 cm³ diesel (I3 OHC), 999 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 17·6 kWh electric. Second-generation Fortwo, with Mitsubishi-sourced petrol engine (normally aspirated and turbocharged). Same formula as before, though slightly larger. Side airbags and electronic stability control contributing to safety. Agile and extremely economical, but poor acceleration and choppy ride. Despite diminutive size, fairly good room for passengers, though forget luggage space. Electric Drive models from 2012.
