Senova (紳寶/绅宝) D50. 2017 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1499 cm³ (I4 DOHC). D50 casts off its old Saab roots, in favour of a more modern, better resolved package to take on the Geely Emgrand EC7 and Roewe 350. In a retrograde step, torsion beam at rear, but still a confident handler, on a par with the Škoda Octavia (5E), and with good ride. Disappointing performance from the launch 1·5, good mainly in urban settings. Steering responsiveness and interior noise poor.
