Franco Sbarro, known for his extraordinary creations, showed the Stash at Genève 1974, based on his earlier SV1 sports. Tubular frame chassis. Known engines were a Volkswagen unit from the K 70, and the 6·8-litre from the Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6,9, though at least one authority says the BMW 3·0-litre six was a third. An ‘American V8’ is cited as the fourth, and one Stash owner believes the fifth could house a Porsche unit. The Mercedes-powered one, with 286 PS, was good for 240 km/h.
