Saturn LS/Saturn LS1/Saturn LS2/Saturn L100/Saturn L200/Saturn LW1/Saturn LW2/Saturn LW200/Saturn LW300/Saturn L300 (GM2900/Epsilon). 2000–5 (prod. 406,300 approx.). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/F, 2198 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 2962 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Americanized Opel Vectra B, with confusing nomenclature that changed twice in its six-model year life. Original designations changed in 2001, then in 2004. Roomy, well equipped, though in most respects, middle of the road; distinguished, however, by plastic fenders and doors. Facelift in 2003. Wagons only to 2004. Saturn was hopeful of expanding its range from compacts, but the gamble failed as few took notice in a country happy to buy Honda Accords and Toyota Camrys. Generally a poor seller, leading GM to cancel the line after a handful of 2005s left the factory.

Manufacturing location: Wilmington, Delaware, USA

Marque: Saturn | Successor: Saturn Aura
