All-new SM3 on Renault Mégane III platform, with fewer connections to contemporary Nissan Bluebird Sylphy (G11). Distinctive bodywork, sharing everything aft of the front wings with Renault Fluence. Initially, former SM3 (renamed the SM3 CE, for Classic Edition) ran alongside the new model, marketed more as a family vehicle. Facelift in 2012. Fluence for some markets got the SM3’s looks from 2013, while others had the Renault corporate grille.
