Saab 900. 1978–93 (prod. 908,817, incl. 48,888 convertibles). 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-door saloon, 2-door convertible, 4-door LWB saloon. F/F, 1985 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1985, 2119 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC). Long-nose 99, famous for its turbocharged models and longevity (a 1989 model was driven 1,000,000 miles in the US). Technically clever in terms of engine positioning and other details; body shape dated back to the 1960s. Convertible from 1986. Facelift in 1987. Considered the last true Saab before GM purchase.
