Saab 9000 (Tipo 4). 1992–98 (prod. 503,087 incl. Mk I). 4- and 5-door saloon. F/F, 1985, 2290 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC), 2962 cm³ (V6. DOHC) Extensively re-engineered version of the former Giugiaro-styled 9000, featuring an in-house designed front- and rear-end, with the interior largely untouched. 2.0- and 2.3-litre models offered in normally aspirated, ECOpower (LPT) and high-output (HOT) turbo forms to offer a wide range of engine variations. GM-sourced V6 added to the range in 1995.
