2011 Saab 9-5.jpg

Saab 9-5. 2010 to date (prod. unknown). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/F, F/A, 1598, 1998 cm³ petrol, 1956 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. DOHC), 2792 cm³ (V6 DOHC). GM’s parting gift to Saab as it washed its hands of the company. Much more striking than previous GM efforts and a return to form for Saab. On the Epsilon platform, with Opel Insignia. Very good handling, and considered good value for money, but some GM switchgear and not all materials up to scratch for a premium car. Sport Combi estate production planned for late 2011 but never realized as Saab collapsed.

Manufacturing location: Trollhättan, Sweden

Marque: Saab | Model: Saab 9-5 | Predecessor: Saab 9-5 (1997–2010)
