SEAT León (5F). 2012 to date (prod. n/a). 3- and 5-door saloon. F/F, 1197, 1395, 1798 cm³ petrol, 1598, 1968 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. DOHC). León moves on to Volkswagen’s flexible MQB platform, shared with Škoda Rapid and Volkswagen Golf VII. Shorter by 5 cm, lighter by 90 kg, and wheelbase up by 5·8 cm. LED lights gave it a more upmarket look, while all models agile with acceptable ride. Quality not quite to Golf levels but better than previous León—and considerably cheaper. Available from November 2012; three-door SC shown at Genève 2013, and on sale in April.
