Beautifully balanced design, twinned with Bentley S1 as Rolls-Royce rationalized. Much stiffer than predecessor in its closed box section frame. Six-port head, electrically controlled dampers, and automatic as standard; power steering from 1956, LWB (with four extra inches in the wheelbase) from 1957.
